I saw this in a catalogue, and couldn't resist copying it.
I glued a couple of strips of super magnet to the back, and now it hangs on my fridge. The second one was made for a friend who fell in love with it and she asked that I make her one.

This is a name plaque which my neighbor had asked me to make for her horse's stable door.
She purchased a plaque made of pine, and chose the font for the lettering using her computer. Then I took care of the rest.
I copied the lettering onto 1/4" Birch ply wood, and then cut out each letter using a scroll saw. I sanded everything smooth, stained the letters, and then glued them in place. Afterwards, I finished it off with several coats of gloss varnish.
A key chain i made for Troy.
After scrolling, I did a little carving with my exacto knife, and used the two tone technique to give the illusion that 2 types of woods were used.
This shelf bracket may look complicated to make, but the truth is that it really isn't. It took me a total of one week (aprox. 2 hours a day), to finish the fret work.
The bracket is made of maple, and is stained cherry. The shelves are also made of maple but are left natural.

Made of 3/4" Pine
7 1/2" long and is 3" high
Rosary Pendant
Made of 1/4" Maple
Has a horizontal hole at the top for necklace rope.
2 1/8" high
1 1/4" wide
Dancing Clock
Made entirely of pine with the exception of the backing and the clock hands, which are made of 1/8" Birch ply wood.
Overall dimentions are
18" high X 12" wide
Finished with several coats of Satin Poly
